Bob Herring
Bob Herring has been managing computer, network, and other technical things at CPS for five years, in addition to being a passable cookie baker.
Bob has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Florida. He spent three years in the U.S. Army as a Spanish language specialist in the Panama Canal Zone.
He has lived in Florida nearly all of his life, growing up in Miami (when English was widely spoken there), then living in Gainesville, and for the last 34 years, Lakeland. He and Gaye have been married for 30 years and have a grown daughter.
Bob's computer career began at Publix Supermarkets where he was an applications programmer. He had his own custom programming business in Lakeland for ten years. Another ten years was spent selling software for the healthcare information sector.
Bob is a Microsoft Certified Professional and holds the A+ and Network+ certifications. He enjoys working with new technology that makes business easier and more streamlined. Bob's hobbies are cooking, gardening, kayaking, hiking, woodworking, photography, and traveling in Latin American countries.
